Jessica Alba says she felt objectified during her years starring on “Dark Angel.”

The actress is on the June cover of Marie Claire magazine, where she opens up about her early years of fame and her “Maxim-ready” looks.

“I had a show [‘Dark Angel’] that premiered when I was 19. And right away, everyone formed a strong opinion about me because of the way I was marketed. I was supposed to be sexy, this tough action girl. That’s what people expected…I felt like I was being objectified, and it made me uncomfortable. I wanted to be chic and elegant!”

But now that she is older, Alba says she is more comfortable owning her femininity and sexuality.

I’ve learned how to own it, but I’m still not very overt. There are some women who dress for men. I dress for myself. It took me some time to get here. Being a mom and feeling grown-up have helped. Now if I’m going to wear something short, it has to have a high neck or a little sci-fi toughness to it, an edge.”

ldquo;I like to get positive attention,” she adds. “But if I have a choice between someone noticing in a negative way what I’m wearing and going, ‘What was she thinking?’ or someone not noticing what I’m wearing, I would rather not make a statement at all and just have a good conversation instead.”

Kristen Stewart is trying desperately to revive her image as an angry, oft-complaining celebrity who once compared having her photo taken to being raped. And how is she doing that? By complaining again of course!

Only this time, the “Twilight” star who is promoting her new film, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” is complaining about her life being too EASY!

In the cover story for the June issue of Elle magazine, the yoing star says of her sheltered upbringing.

“You can learn so much from bad things. I feel boring. I feel like, Why is everything so easy for me? I can’t wait for something crazy to f—king happen to me. Just life. I want someone to f—k me over! Do you know what I mean?”

Yes, Kristen, you made your point.

But she wasn’t done there.

“It’s one of the reasons I want to act. I love living in different worlds, because a lot of times mine is pretty nice and easy.”

Back in 2010, Kristen told British Elle a very different story.

“It’s so… The photos are so … I feel like I’m looking at someone being raped. A lot of the time, I can’t handle it,” she said at the time. “I never expected that this would be my life.”

Do you think Kristen found her happy place, or are her handlers attempting to revamp her image? If so, they might want to tell her EXACTLY what to say, next time.

Actress Penelope Cruz is on the May cover of Harper’s Bazaar, where she opened up about motherhood, her Hollywood idol and fashion.

On her idol, Meryl Streep: “When I first started watching movies and I saw Meryl’s work, that’s when I became obsessed with acting,” Penélope says. “Now I kiss her whenever I see her! She must think I’m crazy.” She recalls a magazine shoot they did together a few years ago for the AIDS charity (RED). “As soon as she got to the set, I had to sit topless on top of her. It was the most interesting love scene I’ve ever done.”

On juggling motherhood and career: “Maybe I’ll make one movie a year, maybe two, but it’s not going to be more than that because I have other priorities now.”

“I won’t go to places where you’re going to find more attention. I go to the opposite.” Her perfect day is “running around with my family at the beach, that’s all.”

On being a ”worrier”:  I am living for every day and trying to have less fear, less worry. But I have always worried about everything; it’s in my nature. It’s the thing that makes me suffer the most.”

Of her red-carpet fashion choices: “All I look for is to be able to breathe!”

“New Girl” star Zooey Deschanel is on the May cover of Marie Claire magazine, where she talks about her dating life and whether or not she wants to be a mother.

On whether she’s dating: “Honestly, I’m just going through a divorce, so I don’t really think that’s something I want to get into now. I don’t have time to date. I literally – don’t-have-time.”

On not wanting children: “That’s never been my focus…My sister [Emily] was always very motherly, babysitting and stuff. I like kids, and I like being around kids – but it was never an ambition, something, like, I need…I like working. That’s what I like doing. I like to work.”

On being bullied as a child: “I still have in me the same awareness when I was 12 and chubby and a girl was spitting in my face. I’m the same person. Certainly you change, and you change perspective, you have other experiences. But isn’t it funny – I can still remember when I was treated differently from the way I’m treated now.”

“Biggest Loser” host Alison Sweeney is on the cover of Redbook magazine where she talks being normal, fame and staying in shape.
On life in Hollywood:
Thank God my life is normal. I work hard to make it normal. My husband and I don’t want Hollywood drama. I go to the market and do the dishes. I’m not treated differently because I work on TV. Ben [Alison’s son] only recently realized I was somewhat famous. He Googled me.
On her husband of 12 years:
My husband and I have known each other since kindergarten…I had a crush on him in school, but we never dated. Then we saw each other again after high school, and there was something instantly familiar about him. I’m a very shy person and was very closed off. But he allowed me to be myself. And there’s a safety in that.
On Staying Fit:
Fitness is not an option. Its part of my job…If I didn’t bring my duffel bag with me, I wouldn’t work out. I’m running my first official half marathon this weekend. So I need to get in my workouts after I’m done here for the day. If I go home, I know I’ll get distracted.
On her on-the-go lifestyle:
“If I get six hours of sleep, that’s a good night…You’ve got to go while the getting’s good, which it is right now. Maybe in 10 years, I’ll be a stay-at-home mom.”

‘The Hills’ star, best-selling author, and clothing designer Lauren Conrad is on the cover of Glamour’s May issue in only her bottoms.

Inside, she talks about what being snapped by paparazzi in a bikini can do to a gal, and what its really like being on a reality show (ie, is any of it really real?).

On her bod…
On the vacation to Cabo, I wore a bathing suit on the beach for the first time in years. Usually I’m just petrified. A couple of years ago someone zoomed in on my cellulite and it was so mean. I took it really personally. I haven’t worn a bathing suit in L.A. in years because of that.”

What really happens on a reality TV set…
“During shooting, the producers would send us quick text messages telling us what to talk about. They couldn’t walk through the shot, so they’d just text me, like, “Say something quick about this story line.” That’s why we were always checking our phones!”

More on “The Hills”…
“The show is what brought a lot of us together, and when it was gone, we didn’t have anything in common anymore.”

Awww…..

Salma Hayek is on the May cover of Lucky magazine, where she opens up about her lowest moments, exercise and weight gain and her friend Demi Moore.

The Mexican-born beauty tells Lucky that she went through a phase in her twenties when she hit a low point, gained weight and faced skin breakouts.

On her low point: “When I was 25 and I left being a soap opera star in Mexico to go try to be a movie star in Hollywood and all of Mexico was laughing at me? And I could barely get work as an extra? You want to talk about bad skin? I had acne. And this acne was so bad, it sent me into a severe, severe depression. Like I couldn’t leave the house. I’d wake up in the morning and lie there and touch my face before I got up, just to prepare myself to look in the mirror! The next stage with that sort of depression is food: too little, or too much. Guess what I did? I mean, I was fat and broken out, I couldn’t leave the house and I couldn’t pay the rent!”

She tells the mag that a friend finally convinced her to stop abusing her skin and her body and take care of herself.

Since then, she’s been comfortable in her own skin, but has considered plastic surgery.

On Botox: “Botox, trust me I’ve been tempted—but I resist! think about what happens to your muscles—and your skin—if you’re sick and don’t move for a few days. It all atrophies! Plus, if you freeze a muscle in your face, other muscles have to compensate! And once you stop, what does that look like?” Before I can issue a rebuttal she offers another theory: “You know Latin people? African-American people? How our skin ages more slowly? Even though we’re dramatic, we move our faces, we eat higher- fat foods, we’re the ones with fewer wrinkles—it makes you wonder.”’

On her feelings toward her body: “She points at her chic, low ponytail. “This is very Parisian. My husband, it’s funny, but he hates it when I have this Parisian hair! He loves my crazy- maniac-madwoman just-got-out-of-the-shower hair. He is like the lawyer for my thick, wild, natural hair. He’s like, ‘Why make it suffer?’ But you know for 45 years I’ve got this big hair, and these big boobs, and I’m this tiny person and sometimes— you just want to be … smaller.” Salma goes on to say, “He’s probably right—my mom always said, ‘You think you know better than God?’”

On her friend Demi Moore and how she inspires her: “[I’m] Not like Demi [Moore]. She’s so disciplined, I wish I could be like that.” Salma goes on to say, “You watch, Demi will be back. She’s an inspiration to all women.”

Nicki Minaj is Allure magazine’s cover girl this month, where she opens up about her cartoonish characters, which mogul’s career she wants and on her hate for exercise.

On dethroning Jay-Z

“I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of…. I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. He said, ‘Congratulations on all your success.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.’”

On exercising:

“I’m naturally petite, but I definitely struggle with keeping those extra pounds off. And I hate working out. I can’t stand being on a treadmill. That mentally irks me. When I need to lose a few, I just cut out sugar and starch.”

On why her fan base ranges from eight-year-olds to adults:

“I think as far as the younger demo is concerned, I play dress-up,” Minaj begins. “I also can put on a very cartoonish voice. So sometimes children may not know what I’m saying, but they like the sound of it, and they think I sound like some weird character.”

On trying out new looks with her hair from the age of nine:

“I had done something I thought was really, really, really cute, and I showed my neighbor,” she says. “She was like, ‘Why’d you do that to your hair?’ And I never forget what I said: ‘I’m someone new in this hair.’”
