Michael Douglas is currently filming his next onscreen role as Liberace, and it looks like he will be stepping back into the biographical genre once again, this time taking on the role of America’s 40th president, Ronald Reagan.
According to the Hollywood reporter, Douglas will play Reagan in the film ‘Reykjavik,” which chronicles the Reykjavik talks between the late president and Mikhail Gorbachev.
What do you think of the casting? Is Douglas a good pick?

Kristen Wiig says she is aware that it seems like she left “Saturday Night Live” because her film career was taking off at lightning speed. And while she admits that was part of it, she says she always knew her days there had an endpoint.

She tells Marie Claire in their August coverstory:

ldquo;I know a lot of people probably assume, ‘Oh, she’s leaving because she is going to be doing movies now and things like that,’ which I will be. But I just always knew it was going to be seven and that was it. I think maybe if I were 22, I could see myself staying a little bit, but it just felt like the right time.”

She continues: Still, “it was very emotional. I just wanted to get through it without breaking down in every sketch. Because nothing says comedy like breaking down.”

But despite the sadness she felt at leaving the show she called home, she says she is the happiest she has ever been.

“I will say that I’m happier than I’ve ever been, and I feel very lucky.”

“Why?: “Where I am now. Who he is. Those are the two big ones.” [in reference to boyfriend, Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti]

Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, and Colin Farrell  are remaking the Arnold Schwarzenegger classic “Total Recall.” The movie’s stars talked to Maxim, on sale Thursday, about fighting, special skills, and the original movie’s iconic three-breasted hooker.
MAXIM: Do you ladies think that after all the fight training you’ve done, you could beat up a bad guy in an alley?JB: I definitely feel like I could.KB: I think what’s dangerous about being an actor who does action movies is you think, Well, I can totally handle myself now. But if my opponent didn’t know the other half of the routine, I don’t know how well I’d do.
HOT SHOTS: Biel and Beckinsale in Maxim.
MAXIM: Kate, you’ve cornered the market in tight-fitting costumes. What was your most uncomfortable outfit?KB: Coming to “Total Recall” from “Underworld,” I very much appreciated the lack of rubber and leather and latex. But I would say probably my least favorite costume ever was in “Van Helsing.” That was a huge pain because it had thigh-high boots with 30 buckles on them that had to be done up individually.
MAXIM: What gadgets from Total Recall do you wish you had in real life?JB: A hovercar.CF: A three-breasted hooker in a hovercar! That’s what I was hoping for as my wrap gift.KB: I like the phones that are in your hand. It’s a sort of implant that suddenly lights up and rings, and you put your hand to your ear. I probably say, “Where’s my phone?” about 15 times a day, so anything that could be implanted onto me like that—phone, keys, sunglasses—would be great.
MAXIM: Are you surprised how excited people are about the return of the three-breasted hooker?KB: I have been quite surprised about that, especially in the age of people watching porn on their cell phones…. At one point, when it looked like I wouldn’t be able to play Lori, I was going to do a cameo as the three-breasted woman!
MAXIM: Really?KB: Yeah, and I started fretting about where they’d put the third one. Have I actually got room for a third one in the middle, or would it go to the side? Would it then be under an armpit and actually not sexy?
MAXIM: What special skills do you have that no one knows about?KB: Apparently, I’m very good at firing a gun without blinking, which is unusual. That’s why so many action characters have to wear sunglasses during shoot-out scenes. That’s my party trick.JB: I can walk on my hands.CF: If you spit chewing gum into the air, I can catch it.

Blake Lively is on the cover of Marie Claire this month, promoting her new film “Savages.” The actress opened up about her desire to break away from the role that made her famous, as well as her newest character.

On the public’s perception of her: “People like to draw parallels between my life and the scandalous stories on ‘Gossip Girl.’ I dress the same as my character, so they think, She lives this life on and off set. I recently shared how many boyfriends I’ve had [four], and people were like, ‘That’s impossible!’ But it’s true. I’ve been with very few people. If I’m not with somebody who really excites or inspires me, then I’d rather be by myself.”

On the hardest part of getting ready for her role in the new film, ‘Savages’: “I went to the gun range and learned how to shoot a gun for the first time. It was awful. I asked myself, ‘Why were these things ever invented?’ But I did feel good that my first three shots were straight to the heart. It’s good to know – don’t mess with me in a gun battle.”

The official photo of Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in the new film “Liz & Dick” has been released and it’s already causing quite a stir.

Several photos of the troubled actress in costume for the role have been circulated around the internet, with many fans and critics saying Lohan doesn’t resemble the late Taylor.

But the official photo certainly looks more compelling and the resemblance can be seen much clearer than the behind the scenes shots. Sure, the black and white photo was taken at an angle and has clearly been retouched, but the final product definitely looks like the role is more plausible than Lohan’s critics have suggested.

What do you think? Do Lindsay and Grant look believable in the role? Will you see the film in November?

Jessica Alba says she felt objectified during her years starring on “Dark Angel.”

The actress is on the June cover of Marie Claire magazine, where she opens up about her early years of fame and her “Maxim-ready” looks.

“I had a show [‘Dark Angel’] that premiered when I was 19. And right away, everyone formed a strong opinion about me because of the way I was marketed. I was supposed to be sexy, this tough action girl. That’s what people expected…I felt like I was being objectified, and it made me uncomfortable. I wanted to be chic and elegant!”

But now that she is older, Alba says she is more comfortable owning her femininity and sexuality.

I’ve learned how to own it, but I’m still not very overt. There are some women who dress for men. I dress for myself. It took me some time to get here. Being a mom and feeling grown-up have helped. Now if I’m going to wear something short, it has to have a high neck or a little sci-fi toughness to it, an edge.”

ldquo;I like to get positive attention,” she adds. “But if I have a choice between someone noticing in a negative way what I’m wearing and going, ‘What was she thinking?’ or someone not noticing what I’m wearing, I would rather not make a statement at all and just have a good conversation instead.”

Kristen Stewart is trying desperately to revive her image as an angry, oft-complaining celebrity who once compared having her photo taken to being raped. And how is she doing that? By complaining again of course!

Only this time, the “Twilight” star who is promoting her new film, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” is complaining about her life being too EASY!

In the cover story for the June issue of Elle magazine, the yoing star says of her sheltered upbringing.

“You can learn so much from bad things. I feel boring. I feel like, Why is everything so easy for me? I can’t wait for something crazy to f—king happen to me. Just life. I want someone to f—k me over! Do you know what I mean?”

Yes, Kristen, you made your point.

But she wasn’t done there.

“It’s one of the reasons I want to act. I love living in different worlds, because a lot of times mine is pretty nice and easy.”

Back in 2010, Kristen told British Elle a very different story.

“It’s so… The photos are so … I feel like I’m looking at someone being raped. A lot of the time, I can’t handle it,” she said at the time. “I never expected that this would be my life.”

Do you think Kristen found her happy place, or are her handlers attempting to revamp her image? If so, they might want to tell her EXACTLY what to say, next time.

He may be a part of one of the biggest action films of the year, but “The Avengers” star Chris Evans said he had his doubts about acting.

The Boston native still lives in his hometown with his roomate and speaks of his dream to live in the woods to Details magazine for the May cover story.

“For a long time all I wanted for Christmas were books about outdoor survival.  I was convinced that the woods were calling me. I camped a lot, I took classes. At 18, I told myself if I don’t live in the woods by myself by the time I’m 25, I have failed,” he said.

The actor also says his “daytime person is different than my nightttime person. With my high-school buddies, we drink beer and talk sports and it’s great. The kids in my Buddhism class in L.A., they’re wildly intelligent, and I love being around them, but they’re not talking about the Celtics.”

The actor seems to have a certain dislike for Hollywood, saying he refuses to let his happiness be defined in terms of his acting.

“I love acting. It’s my playground, it lets me explore. But my happiness in this world, my level of peace, is never going to be dictated by acting,” he says.

He adds that the idea of it even made him question whether or not he wanted to accept the role of Captain America.

“What if the movie comes out and it’s a success and I just reject all of this? What if I want to move to the fu*&#@^ woods?”
