“Biggest Loser” host Alison Sweeney is on the cover of Redbook magazine where she talks being normal, fame and staying in shape.
On life in Hollywood:
Thank God my life is normal. I work hard to make it normal. My husband and I don’t want Hollywood drama. I go to the market and do the dishes. I’m not treated differently because I work on TV. Ben [Alison’s son] only recently realized I was somewhat famous. He Googled me.
On her husband of 12 years:
My husband and I have known each other since kindergarten…I had a crush on him in school, but we never dated. Then we saw each other again after high school, and there was something instantly familiar about him. I’m a very shy person and was very closed off. But he allowed me to be myself. And there’s a safety in that.
On Staying Fit:
Fitness is not an option. Its part of my job…If I didn’t bring my duffel bag with me, I wouldn’t work out. I’m running my first official half marathon this weekend. So I need to get in my workouts after I’m done here for the day. If I go home, I know I’ll get distracted.
On her on-the-go lifestyle:
“If I get six hours of sleep, that’s a good night…You’ve got to go while the getting’s good, which it is right now. Maybe in 10 years, I’ll be a stay-at-home mom.”
